We prioritize safety, integrity, and environmental responsibility, exceeding expectations through quality workmanship and partnerships.
Pipeline & Integrity
Baron Energy Services (BES) provides the experience, technical expertise, and equipment required to deliver pipeline integrity projects safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption. All work is completed in compliance with applicable CSA standards and our corporate Quality Control Program.
Our skilled crews specialize in integrity digs, pipeline cutouts, segment replacements, and new pipeline installations, with extensive experience working around existing infrastructure while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
By Water
BES has overseen extensive marine transport operations to access remote pipeline locations for inspection and repair work. The ability to respond with unorthodox access solutions provides clients with confidence that, regardless of the challenge or emergency, the appropriate equipment can be mobilized and delivered to site in a time-sensitive manner.
By Air
Baron Energy Services (BES) is regularly involved in projects requiring the air transport of crews, equipment, and materials to sites that are inaccessible or inefficient to reach by ground, require time-critical delivery, or are so remote that helicopter support is necessary for emergency response.
Due to constraints such as weather conditions, duty-time limitations, equipment availability, and cost, helicopter access is minimized wherever practical. While aircraft are typically contracted directly by the Client to optimize costs, BES maintains experienced personnel who are fully familiar with helicopter operations and are prepared to deploy and support these activities as required.
By Ground
Where feasible, ground access is the most efficient, reliable, and cost-effective means of reaching construction sites. BES maintains a comprehensive fleet of equipment to support ground access, including right-sized excavators, mat grapples, low-ground-pressure tracked carriers, UTVs, remote fueling systems, bridge dollies, and Athey wagons.
BES personnel have extensive experience constructing access in the challenging terrain of Northwest British Columbia, including watercourse crossings such as culverts, wood box culverts, multi-span bridges, and clear-span bridges. In soft ground conditions, BES is fully equipped to transport, install, and recover access mats as required.
Minor rock removal is completed using hydraulic breakers. Where more extensive rock excavation is required, qualified local contractors can be engaged for drilling and blasting, or a drill-and-breaker method is used where blasting is not feasible.
Reclamation
Landslides
The steep terrain and unstable mountain slopes common throughout Northwest BC, combined with the potential for severe weather events, make this region particularly susceptible to landslides. These events can pose significant risks to both client infrastructure and personnel. BES has extensive experience in landslide remediation, including the safe removal of unstable material, slope stabilization, and restoration of impacted areas. Our teams are skilled in executing complex slide mitigation work while protecting nearby facilities and maintaining safe operating conditions.Watercourse Erosion
Bed and bank erosion within creeks and rivers can significantly reduce the depth of cover over buried infrastructure, creating serious risk to critical assets. BES has the specialized equipment and operational expertise required to mobilize materials and implement mitigation measures as directed by the client. Solutions may include rock armouring, engineered geotechnical reinforcements, and other stabilization methods designed to restore protection and long-term resilience to affected areas.
